Fernanda Lima, MSW
Fern is an associate licensed therapist who is passionate about walking alongside her clients towards healing. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and unconditional positive regard. She classifies herself as a laid back and approachable counselor. You might find her sitting crisscross in her chair while you share your story, and she will be so honored to share that space with you.
Fern works from a person-centered framework which emphasizes clients being the expert of their own experience. She also loves to pull from therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and acceptance and commitment therapy. She is learning and growing and feels so blessed to learn from her clients’ bravery in the counseling space. It can be so difficult to make a step towards counseling; this is a soft place to land.
She enjoys working with clients of all ages. She has the most experience working with ages 8-25 years old who are experiencing things such as anxiety, depression and grief. Her education includes a Bachelors of Social Work and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Georgia. She has her LMSW and is working towards full licensure under supervision.
