Alan Bohnhoff is a compassionate counselor with a wealth of life experience, who is motivated by a passion for helping people. He felt led to transition out of a long career in the information technology industry, and pursue a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor on staff at Bethel Haven, he enjoys working with couples, families and individuals, building on extensive lay counseling experience with relationship and marriage issues. Utilizing an integrated theological approach, Alan builds on an Interpersonal foundation, incorporating Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. His goal is to help couples and individuals to build strong, Godly lives, marriages, families and other relationships that will be a lasting legacy for future generations. Alan and his wife were married in 1976, live in Athens, and have four grown children and nine grandchildren. He is actively involved in his church and in his spare time, he enjoys endurance biking, reading and spending time with family.
