When we walk alone through life’s difficult moments, it can sometimes be hard to let the light shine through. Truth be told, we have all walked this dark and lonely road, but when we share it with someone we can trust, the light starts to shine through and we are able to find peace and joy again. I consider it an honor to walk alongside you in this journey we call life and to help you find the opportunities to improve, find balance, and see your joy realized.

My Experience
Through my graduate studies at Liberty University I was afforded the opportunity to participate in practicum and internship in private practice as well as a hospital setting working with individuals from the ages of 13 to 85. In private practice I worked with individuals, couples, family systems, and co-lead group therapy. I also partnered with the Pastoral Care department at Navicent Health in Macon, GA meeting the emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families throughout the hospital. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, college and high school-related adjustments and struggles, PTSD, infidelity, grief and loss, trauma, and much more. My experiences have equipped me to forge meaningful and empathic relationships with my clients.

My Education
I graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in August 2020 with a Master of Art in Professional Counseling. I also hold a Master of Art in Teaching with a focus in middle grades English and History from Brenau University in Gainesville GA. My undergrad consists of a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Georgia – Go Dawgs! Currently, I am pursuing full licensure as a Professional Counselor under weekly supervision of a licensed professional counselor.

What to Expect from Me
The expert in your situation is you, and I am here to listen with compassion and respect. When you come into my office, I want you to feel welcome, safe, and know that you have entered a space where you are able to share your story freely. I believe that sometimes the simplest changes can make the biggest differences in our lives, and I place great value in seeing each person as an individual, unique and valued. My style is person-centered and focused on helping clients discover their strengths as well as working on those areas where they struggle. Ultimately, I want you to find hope in your journey of discovery.

About Me
Currently, my husband and I reside just outside of Athens with our fur babies Boomer, a 7yr old rescue pup and Piper, a 3yr old rescue kitty. We have three grown children and enjoy running, biking, kayaking, and anything else that gets us outside together.

I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), Licensed Professional Counseling Association of Georgia (LPCAGA), and am certified in telemental health.
