God led me to the path of counseling by gifting me with the ability and passion to create a compassionate environment for people going through difficult seasons. I value individual’s stories, and love walking with others while offering a space for healing and support. I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be client-focused, and it is my desire for our time together to be encouraging, intentional, and helpful.
I have worked in Child Advocacy settings, providing trauma and grief counseling for children and adolescents, as well as family counseling. While specializing in trauma counseling, I also have vast experience helping individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and school difficulties. Having been adopted, I also enjoy working with children and adolescents who have been adopted or are in foster care.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The University of South Carolina, and Master of Social Work at The University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! I am trained in and use play therapy in session, and I am also a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Nationally Certified therapist.
