Brooke Felt, M.S.W.

Hi! My name is Brooke Felt and I am passionate about people. I decided to go into counseling because life is so often filled with challenges, hurt, and judgment and I want to be able to offer a safe, healing space where you feel free to navigate tough feelings, thoughts, and emotions.
I believe that the client is the expert of their own life and my role is to be your supporter. As a social worker I value a person-in-environment framework, meaning I like to understand who you are in the context of the environment in which you live and how that impacts your thoughts and behavior. I want to understand the big picture of who you are.
My Experience
I have experience working with youth, adolescents, and parents through the Division of Family and Children Services in the Foster Care system and experience working with caregivers for children and adolescents living with disabilities. Many of the populations I have worked with have experienced depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, mood disorders, life transitions, and learning disabilities.
My Education
I recently completed my Master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Health at the University of Georgia, with a clinical and health behavior and promotion focus. Prior to my graduate education, I completed my Bachelor’s in Counseling Psychology from Toccoa Falls College.
What to Expect from Me
My therapeutic style is more eclectic, meaning I like to utilize tools and skills from different therapeutic modalities that fit best with the client and presenting problem. I believe in giving clients unconditional positive regard and creating a space where each client feels free and unjudged.
I am currently receiving supervision and consultation with my supervisor(s) for the clients I see as I work towards obtaining my LCSW. Essentially, I will receive support and feedback from experienced counselors to ensure you receive the best practices in therapy. At this time, I am seeing clients via telehealth. Please reach out to our office if you are interested in working with me or have any additional questions!
